A newly opened Hyatt hotel does not automatically make every reservation eligible. The rate name is the key detail to look for when comparing your options.
How to qualify
Book the “New Hotel Member Bonus Offer” rate at a participating hotel. Be a World of Hyatt member when booking and staying, and provide your number. Check-in must fall within that hotel’s offer period. There is no single worldwide closing date stated on the campaign page.
What double points means
Only Base Points are doubled, with a maximum 25,000 additional Bonus Points per qualifying stay. Choosing airline miles excludes the stay. Consecutive nights at the same hotel remain one stay even if you check out and back in. Up to three rooms can count, including the one you occupy; posting can take two to four weeks.

The second example shows why “double” has a practical ceiling. Once a qualifying stay produces more than 25,000 Base Points, the additional offer points stop at 25,000. These examples assume the booking and charges are eligible and leave out any separate elite-status earning.
Compare the rate before booking
The offer is limited by availability and property-specific periods, and excludes previously held stays and combinations not expressly permitted. It is not an automatic bonus on award nights or an ordinary member-rate booking.
Imagine the offer rate is RM80 more per night than another suitable option. Across three nights, that is RM240 extra. Work out the extra points you would receive, then decide whether you would willingly pay RM240 for them. If the two rates cost the same with matching cancellation conditions, the bonus is easier to justify.

Keep a screenshot of the selected rate name, its cancellation conditions and the property’s offer dates alongside your confirmation. The participating list changes. In particular, do not assume Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur qualifies merely because it is a recent opening; confirm the named property and rate on Hyatt’s current page.
