IHG’s autumn promotion rewards repeat stays. It is relevant if you have several trips before year-end, but a single holiday stay does not receive the promotional multiplier. InterContinental Kuala Lumpur confirms the offer locally.

Register first, then count stays

The earning period runs from 1 October to 31 December 2026. Register before completing participating stays. Your first qualifying stay in the period must be booked directly with IHG; it earns normal points and unlocks the promotion for later stays. Third-party bookings do not unlock it.

From your second qualifying stay, an IHG-owned direct booking channel earns a total of 2X base points. The IHG One Rewards app earns 3X base points. Qualifying rates and the minimum spend requirement of US$30 per night apply. Reward Nights and Points & Cash bookings are excluded.

Worked example: a stay earning 5,000 base points

These examples start with an assumed base-point amount rather than a room-price quote. Elite-tier bonuses are separate. A three-night reservation is normally one stay, not three qualifying stays; do not assume consecutive reservations at the same hotel create extra stays.

How we would book

Register now and use the official app for upcoming qualifying stays when price and terms suit you. Save the registration confirmation, booking channel and hotel folio. Only consider an extra stay after comparing its full cost against the bonus it would unlock; paying for an unwanted night can erase the value.
